Unknown caller from Utah. I answered expecting to hear a "Hello?" since I didnt say anything on my line. Dead silence for about 13 seconds before they hung up. Called back, the number is not in service or something like that. Huh- typical since it was an unknown caller. Ah well, I'll just add it to my collection of auto reject calls. Lookit, the list getting bigger!
I have gotten multiple calls from this number in the past week and am finally blocking them. If i send the call to VM they don't leave one - if I answer, they don't talk - and when I call back, 'the number you have called is no longer in service'. In hindsight, I probably should not have called back. Too late now.
The number is most likely spoofed, as MidNYteStorm mentioned 9 Mar 2016. The N in the NPA-NXX of the 1st six digits of the 10 digit US/Canada telephone numbers must be a number 2-9, 0 (zero) and 1 (One) are reserved for special uses only.
Received a call on my mobile at 1019 CST today and they left no message, are now blocked.
NEVER return calls to suspicious numbers, if a call is important or legit, the caller will most likely leave a message.
