I am the night - and the night wants this harassment to stop because the night is trying to get some sleep during the day when this [***] storm comes blowing through, gusting up the joint with its [***] like, "oh, return our equipment!" and "where is our equipment, Batman?"
I just received the same phone call at 9 this morning. The girl said I had to find the Comcast modem from over a year ago and take it to the nearest Comcast store or I would be charged about $130. I chatted with a Comcast Representative (below). Hope this helps . . .

It seems a little shady on behalf of Comcast to wait so long to collect making it less likely that the previous customer would still have the equipment causing them to have to pay for it.
Comcast did this to me recently, told me to take my modem back that I do not have, bought my own linksys modem along timeago and did return their modem, they have done this to my mom as well. we have our own modems.
