Doesn't seem like you took the time to read this ""I have not seen anything negative happen from that but it's just good to be aware," Thomas said. " So she wasn't scammed. What you have a documented report by "the sky is falling" people, not a documented event of someone actually getting scammed or how they got scammed. You won't post a documented, verifiable example of someone was scammed with nothing more than that word on a recording because you can't find one. I know I tried and haven't been successful. So, come back and give us the "we don't have to prove anything to you (while thinking, darn sure wish I could find someone who was scammed this way)"
Didn't recognize the #, so didn't answer. Am sick and tired of being harassed on my cell by solicitors and scammers... and, I'm on the Do Not Call Registry, not that it's helped. To the contrary, the last 2 xs I renewed my registration, I was deluged by solicitors, surveys, and scam attempts. The problem w the laws are they #1 have no "teeth"; #2 no one prosecutes, or even investigates; #3 they I often get around the law by including a bogus "survey" as part of their call or use a survey as a premise to glean info. I stopped answering unknown/unfamiliar #s & figure if it's legit, they'll leave a message. Note: they. NEVER do.
