After this company continued texting after I texted a "stop", I called Verizon. The rep said this is not a premium number; cell carriers now block premium callers who abuse the service, so the bad guys have figured out a way to continue stealing from us by using an overseas number. He was frustrated by this because his system will only let him block 11-digit numbers and these come from a 11- or 011- number, so he passed me onto tech support (level 2) who did block it for me. I'd really like the URL behind the link in the text to use in filing a complaint federally, but I won't click on it and because of privacy, Verizon reps can't read more than the number or caller name. Tech support said to post it here that you can call tech support directly for help in blocking calls from the company OZMAIL who is known to Verizon to contract with all sorts of low-life companies to send out texts for them. There was no charge for this. Good luck everyone!
i constantly get the same "if you dont want them, reply and we'll charge you" text and i am ANGRY that i now have to leave my phone on silent because of them. I have emergencies too that i need to be made aware of by text but have to put my phone on silent because im at work and can only be interrupted for emergencies, now wizard of ozmail.
