Just got one of these calls from (801) 236-7580 for a neighbor that lives behind me. The person told me his name was Tyler and he had sent my neighbor some stuff and never heard back from them and wanted to know if he got the package. He asked if I knew them. I told him no.
This call really bothered me so I called back and spoke with "Tyler". I asked how he found me associated with my neighbor whom I don't know, and why was he calling me. He told me the story again and said it was a "personal business matter" and that he found me by using www.whitepages.com under "neighbors".
As for whitepages.com.....when I try and search this phone # on their site, it wants me to pay to find out who it belongs to, but yet if I search my own address under the neighbors tap, it givees me ALL my neighbors names, addresses, and phone #'s. What a crock!!!
I have to wonder if this is legal. It really ticks me off that they tried to use me in this way!! Anyone out there know if this legal?
These folks have called me twice...ostensibly trying to reach a relative and worried about them...I flat out told her she'd called me before with this line, and I am certain she works for a collection agency and I am
not interested in helping her...not to call me again!!
Got a call 1/18/16 from Janet Rice asking for info on my Son.
She wanted to confirm his last known address and employer pertaining to a "personal business matter" and stated that there has been "recent changes".
Yeah right lady.
These people are pros!
Beware...
This number called my father. It was rude and trying to get information without letting him know what it was concerning. He couldn't get any information about what they wanted.
