Received a call this morning from a lady asking if I knew my neighbor. She said she sent a letter to my neighbor a few weeks ago and hadn't received a reply. I told her I didn't know my neighbor...and then the lady asked me if I had a neighborhood directly. I told her no. Then I asked her how she got MY number...since it is unlisted. She said she got it off the white pages. I think the next time if she calls, I'll tell her my neighbor is deceased....or moved. Just so she will stop calling ME!
I got a call this morning asking about a neighbor that I don't know. The lady on the phone was pushy and I told her I thought it was against the law to call neighbors about bills. I think it wrong and they should leave people alone I don't have anything to do with my neighbor nor will I be a messanger. NAR 801)236-7587

They use the following numbers for their "collection" activities:
They also employ a technique known as "skip tracing". Among other methods, they will run a debtor's address and home telephone number through a reverse directory search, and contact anyone they find who may live near the debtor, as well as use other databases to locate a debtor's relatives and contact them as well. Some of their techniques are legally questionable, but they manage to get away with it.
