This company called today, asked if I knew my neighbor and gave the name and address. When I said I did not know the neighbor he asked if I had a neighborhood directory that I could get the number from. Again I told him no and asked that he not call my home. I probably should have done more - it seems like this should be illegal. They called at 10:19AM (Mountain) on 04/29/13. The caller ID said NAR and the number was 1-801-364-0777.

Some of their techniques are legally questionable, but they manage to get away with it.
received call from woman stating my name and full physical address, who said it was a personal matter. i had to ask several times to get a company name and all she gave me was NRA.
looked up online they are not the national rifle association, just a junk debt collector
when i called back to request that they send me something proving i owe whatever debt they have on file for me. i told the representative to stop calling and send me written proof of the debt to the address they OBVIOUSLY have on file and she hung up on me

This lady calls me to verify if i am me, she wont identify herself but she wants to know if shes contacting the right me, so she repeats like 7 of my past addresses and then asks me to tell her what my current address is. All still refusing to identify herself or her company. Its clearly a collection call but the FDCPA does state that any collector can not hide or fake there identity to falsly get location information out of you.
This place calls at least 5 times a day and it seems even places you on their dialer system on weekends. Ive gotten 3 calls while in church service on a sunday. And after numerous attempts to have them contact me in writing only, i have yet to recieve any kind of demand letter. And they obviously have all my known location addresses to send them. This place thinks they are above anyone and the collectors here are a waste of minimum wage junkies who live to defile normal people who may be struggling due to natural disasters who have wiped out their entire livelyhood, just so that a commission of maybe 3% could be reached for them so that they can go buy some weed on lunch break and smoke a fatty before torturing some more.
