Since I was by the phone this time, I actually answered. Jacob said he was from Dish Network. I told him I wasn't interested and was on both my state and federal Do Not Call lists. He slammed the phone in my ear. A callback to the number gave me the "the number you have reached..." message. I have submitted a complaint to my State AG
Have had numerous calls from this number - this is the first time anyone has been on the other end of the line. Given his rudeness, I would have preferred dead air!
Weird call. Did not recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail. The message they left was strange. Nobidy said anything but I clearly heard several people talking in the background. Lasted for maybe 15 seconds, so they HAD to know they were being recorded by our answering system. then they just hung up.\
So what, apparently the national DO NOT CALL registry doesn't mean anything anymore? Here's an idea, how about the company gets in trouble THE FIRST TIME THEY CALL? People who register with the list do so for a reason, to not get hassled by sales calls. But apparently it's okay for these people to just call anyone at random out of the blue the first time. Isn't this list made available to phone solicitors? And if it is, these companies should be penalized THE FIRST INFRACTION.
I also keep getting calls from this number. When I hit redial, a recording says that it is an incorrect number. How in the world can this be?? If it shows up on my cell phone I.D. it must be a working number??!! Can anyone explain please??
