Received 5 calls so far this morning in a 2 hour period. I decided to pick up the 5th time. The person on the other end did not say anything for a few seconds (I had to say hello 3 or 4 times). He was foreign and spoke broken English. He asked for me by my name. He then said "I see you have received grant money from the government". I could hear voices in the background and it sounded like the wind was blowing. I replied, "This is a scam and I don't want you to call me again". He continued to talk but I did not take the time to listen, I just hung up the phone. I immediately called back the number (801-424-1424) and a recorded message came on saying, "this call cannot be completed as dialed". This is so annoying.
Just received a call from this number claiming that I was rewarded a grant from the US Government and that they were going to send me the documents via email. He then proceeds to say that all he needs is my credit card information to take care of whatever fee. The fee was $1.49. I told him i was skeptical of this call because I don't recall applying for a student grant and asked for the name of the company. Long story short, don't give your information out over the phone!
I got calls from them and listened all the way thru and they say u have been awarded a govt grant and they want $3.81 to mail it. They are based out of Utah and gave direct number and employee id but I don't think I applied for any grant
