Got a voicemail and a message left with school secretary from this number. I looked up the callback number that was left in both instances and it is a number from a VoIP telephony provider. As the area code/prefix were ones associated with the city that my state's capital is located in, I am assuming this company is acquiring numbers that look like they might be coming from important locations. Only a name and call back number (including a second "home" number) were left. No business name. Red flag.
A person calling on behalf of a Cheryl Eaton repeatedly calls our school, asking for different teachers by name. I have repeatedly asked for our school to be removed from the call list.
Received a call for one of our teachers from someone who claimed to be the assistant to Heather Secora. Last week I also got a message from a different person from this company (whoever they are) with the same phone numbers. When I asked the young lady what the message was regarding, she said "one of their classes", and as that teacher teaches multiple subjects, I asked which class, to which the caller replied "the one they are teaching." So, I asked for more details, but the woman said she was just an assistant for Heather Secora and was just reaching out to this teacher at Heather's request and couldn't tell me anything else, such as whether or not they were trying to sell the school something or even the name of the business. My response was that I would be unable to pass on the message if they were not willing to be more forthcoming about why they called. Other messages associated with this call were 949-241-7763 (supposedly Ms. Secora's home number), and 801-433-9700 for Heritage Festivals, which was the number our caller ID had on it. If Heritage Festivals is a legitimate business, they should be willing to give their name when that information is requested.
