Call 793-847-8300 to complain about the Public Interest Communications Company directly and get your name removed from their list. They keep calling us - I say deluge them with calls. Here is my story:
I have been receiving the same aggravating calls. Today I picked up the phone on the second ring and got a recording saying "sorry we missed you." If you want your name taken off the list call us back. When you call back you get a recording asking for your phone number. This made me angry enough to search the companies website that is listed above. The Public Interest Communications Company does not evidently want you to call them. I did a websearch of their locations and found their "real" phone number
and spoke to a woman and told her how aggravating and inefficient their fund raising system is. I also told her I would be complaining to the group that released my information to them - Boston Symphony in the hopes that they will drop them as a contractor. I've gotten several calls from this number on my cell phone. They never leave a message and it hangs up when I answer. I googled the number and it lead me here; I have bought tickets for shows at both Met Opera House and Lincoln Center, so that must be where these noodle-heads got my number from. The [***]!
Received a call from this number a few minutes ago. I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. Actually googled the area code while it was ringing, got this site. Weird. I've never bought tickets from "the MET" or anywhere similar. No message left.
I checked their client list and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association is listed and I am a member of that organization, I;ll have to let them know that 8 calls in the last week is excessive.
I answered the Pub Interest call (finally) after it came in once a day, and it was the Defenders of Wildlife. I told them that I donate when I can and that calling me isn't going to make me donate more. I asked them to take me off their list. Now I have to deal with the 8014841107 PIK people, and I have NEVER given to the Met Opera!
