I posted a comment about a phone call from 801.494.1992. The call was to my daughters cell phone. The caller was a woman who said she was calling about my RV. I didnt give the date of this call. Instead, it says "a few seconds ago". THIS CALL OCCURED ON JUNE 9TH 2015.
--Ask for their home phone number....when the 'sales person' ask why you would want their home phone tell them you want to call them at home and bother them!
--Ask them to explain in great detail about their product....when they are finished with their script and ask for your payment info say heck no do you think I'm crazy I kept you on the line to save someone else's evening meal from being intruded upon!
--Ask them to hold on...put the phone down and walk away!
Caller hung up just as I answered. Left no voice mail message. I'm on the national do not call list. I just filed a complaint at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/
6-6-10. I answered to find out who would be calling on a Sunday morn. The gal identified herself & asked for the "youngest male member of the family". I started throwing the ??? at her. I asked how they got my # since It's on the 'no-call-list'. She said - " we only see the area code & the 1st 3 digits, the automatic dialer picks the last 4 digits". She said, "we're not selling anything, so we don't know who's on the 'no-call list'. I than asked to speak to a supervisor. A guy came on the line & I asked him to identify the co. name again. He said it's "Growth From Knowledge". He also used the line, "we're not selling anything", as if that mattered! He said they could have my # removed from their data-base. Will see if I get anymore calls from them. I jot the #'s down & keep them handy for a few weeks or so.
