Chris Davis - very smooth talker trying to "help" me said he'd give me a few days to try and get the money together or advance America (pay day loan company) would file felony criminal charges... recorded phone call (I did inform him I was) and that he was violating the fdcpa... he said he wasn't a collection agency and that his company name was."The law firm" that's it... I had to put the call on mute to prevent laughter from being heard. Please try to make arrangements with the original creditor or have your day in court. The only people able to say they can file charges are law enforcement and the district attorney and good luck with that on a payday loan because the company took the check knowing that funds were not available. I have already worked out arrangements with advance America to make good on my payday loan...
