Got a call from this number and immediately looked it up (I don't answer numbers that aren't in my contacts since I get so many crap spam calls). Thank goodness 800notes exists. Number blocked!
Caller ID displayed "Midvale UT". Obvious robocall by the sound of the "droid" voice, which talked right over my answering machine message until the very end. All I got was "save up to 30% on your electric bill" before the droid voice was cut off. Didn't get to the phone in time to block the number before my machine picked up because I was in another room of my house when the phone rang, but it's been added to my blocked number list now. PLONK!
At least he/she/it got the part about hundreds of solicitation companies calling you once they get your phone number.
Take it from someone who's had several accounts hacked over the years: once these scumbags get your number, they'll call until you're dead unless you get a call blocker/call blocking phone and block their numbers. I bought a call blocking phone a couple years ago, and it's turned out to be one of the best investments I ever made!
Asked them to remove my number from call list the told me to go to website to opt out. He said I gave them my number the some gayporn website (like cj above), and then proceeded to say some of the most vulgar things. He also threatened me and kept saying he was going to "report" me. I just kept repeating to remove my number from his call list until he hung up. I would really like to find out the company that uses these tactics and expose them somehow. I've read about a company based in Phoenix doing the same thing and lost a federal case costing them a large amount of money. Has anyone ever found out who these people are? Solar Panel USA?
