a man called asked for me by my first name and said he was following up on a request I made for grants and he wanted to see if I qualified. he asked my age, rent or own, anyone a veteran, am I married, any dependents and monthly income. I told him I will not give out monthly income and he asked if I have internet access then we were either disconnected or he hung up. He has not called back.

So they called me and told me I might qualify for a grant that companies provide to folks as a means to obtain a charitable tax deduction. They asked a bunch of questions including what my credit card lines of credit are. This information would better help me to qualify for free money. They put me on hold and low and behold, I qualified for $25,500 of which only a small portion MUST be used for home improvements. Wow... Right? But the catch was they would do all the paperwork and in return, I would pay a percentage processing fee of $1700.00. They said they would send me the paperwork but I would need to pay up front with one of those credit cards that they asked about in the beginning of the conversation. Yeah... Like I'm going to give them my credit card number without reading the documents they were to be sendi to me. I don't think so. At this point I hung up on them. Total scam.
