This number called 6:30ish pm and it was a recorded message '"this message is for (my son's name). Please call Anthem at 844-630-2954". Research on that number caused me to check the CID and lead me here. Scammer.
these people were saying they were calling from my bank and that they needed my info. to access my account, because they had info. that my account was being messed with.
these people are stupid.
Received a call from 801-614-7033 while I was eating dinner with my husband.We do not answer calls during this time. After dinner I checked to see who it was and on my caller ID it said: UNAVAILABLE I am glad that it went to my answering machine. Looks like scammers trying to get to us once more. I am a victim of ID theft so I am now very careful of who gets my information. If it was a bank calling me about information they have to give me a secret code and if they do not have the secret code then I know they are scammers because my real bank has the secret code. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THESE JERKS FROM 801-614-7033
Scammers wanting info, claiming to be from my credit card company... supposedly someone's using my card, and they need to resolve it... but first, to verify that I am who I claim to be, I need to give them info that matched what they have on file. Yeah, right! I said, you called me. You tell me what's on there and I'll verify. Short of it, I hung up on them.
My elderly mom with broken English answered this call. A man introduced himself as Jason and my mom said "Yes". He proceeded to say he was from Chase but my mom didn't understand him and thought it was a sales pitch and hung up. I'm very upset that she said "Yes" because that is how some scams work. If they record you saying "Yes" they use it to say you agreed to something they offer. Then you get charged for things you never agreed to. As many times as I've told my mom never to say "Yes" she did it anyway. Watch out for your elderly parents and screen their calls.
