Same scam as before. I kept them on the phone for nearly a half hour while I was shopping at Home Depot. Kept me entertained. The guy was less than happy.
Some foreigner claims my computer told him it has a problem. How exactly did it do that?? Total SCAM. I, too, kept him on the phone for a while, for my own twisted pleasure. LOL
Received a call from Alex (of middle eastern decent) stating he was calling from IT Tech Solutions and they were pinged from my computer due to a virus and asked me to turn on my computer so he could walk me through the steps to delete them. I advised him I have 3 computers, so which one was he calling about and he said any one of them... Yeah! If you were pinged, you know which one. I asked how he got my number and he said that his company is set up from Windows Service Center and that is how they are notified of issues. I advised I was on my way to work and to give me a website or phone number so that I could call back at my convenience and he said that they would call me back at a better time. I told him I work odd hours and I will call, he then proceeded to say he would call me back in 1 hour.
