recording says the caller's name is Kelly Smith and they are trying to reach...whoever...then gives you a menu choice - select 1 if you are that person, 2 if you need to put the call on hold to get that person, 3 if they should call back at a later time, 4 if it is an incorrect number - no company name ever given. The call was to my parent's house, not a number I use for me
They call family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.
