Same exact scam as above. I received a text from (786) 574-6141 at 10:12 on 08/28/2014 from "Cecil" stating "Hello This is Cecil, I want to do body massage for my co workers let me know if you can do it text me on 801) 683-9409 ."
I responded and she responded same as above it seemed fish so I googled "Cecil's" number and asked "Cecil" if he/she was aware that there are very bad reviews online about this being a scam? I also contacted a friend of mine in law enforcement who said clearly this is a fraud scam and that it should be reported to the proper authorities. As soon as I'm done here I am filing a police report.
The person texted asking to purchase salon services for his employees while they are working in town. He said his name....it was a common name. He said he would like to set appointments and pay ahead of time. He asks to pay by credit card over the phone. He explains his driver will bring each person and will need to be paid and asks if I would use my credit card machine to charge for salon services and for the driver. The driver can not take cash, so he asks if I could send it western union. He said the driver would need to be paid $960....yeah right. And Im pretty sure he will report the card stolen
I received a text message originally from a different number this morning from a person who claims his name or her name is Cecil claiming that he or she wanted to book massages for coworkers for two days and he was willing to provide credit card information over the phone with t the condition that I would charge an additional amount and send the driver the extra amount. this information completely screams scam or fraud I almost fell victim to a scam similar to this a couple of years ago where someone wanted to send me a check for an amount much larger than what I quoted and wanted me to MoneyGram the difference back fortunately I had asked the bank to clarify if this check was a fraud and it was confirmed. I am a small business owner and I've worked too hard to be at the established level where I'm at to fall victim of a scam such as this.
