Magic Jack caller to update the phone

Called @ 3A.M. and no one would speak on the line.

This number has called twice today. The first time was "calling about the Microsoft computer you are using." When I informed them I was using a Mac and to stop harassing people (we get these calls all the time from all different numbers) they called back 2 hours later and said "We are calling about the Macintosh computer you are using."

They claim to be affiliated with Microsoft and usually ask us for our product codes. I didn't give them a chance to ask anything today as I'm sick of fighting with these stupid people.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Got a call today saying we won a contest.  Wanted e-mail and address information.  My sister answered the phone but didn't give them anything and told them to stop calling.
