Of course any attempt to verify this number is blocked for their contact information. If you did call the number I am sure your caller ID would be put on additional scam lists. Best defense - resist the urge to call and tell them off as you are just providing your information to someone unknown to you.
I received an auto-dialed call from this number claiming that it was a public service announcement about reducing auto insurance. I'm on the do not call list, and this was an illegal call.
