The whole "auto insurance" deal has called about 8x a week and I've even received the same caller, who recognizes my voice! At first, I dialed the number to take me from the list. I called my congressman who called. I placed my name on the "Do Not Call" list. And the calls keep coming. When I ask for a supervisor, they give numbers to a pub, or someone else. This OBVIOUSLY is NOT a legitimate company.
Finally, I decided since I do not like it when they call me, perhaps they will like me to call them. Each hour, I call them continuously for fifteen minutes on two different phones. I place them mouth to ear, mouth to ear, and allow them to speak to each other.
After doing it all day yesterday and half the day today, an angry girl tells me that she "doesn't have time for this because she is working..." HELLO! She may be catching on!
Anyway, I imagine I will keep doing this until a supervisor gives me a call between MY vacancy period. But since the calls are being answered with frustration, it almost seems worthwhile! :) What I'm doing must not be considered harassment, or they wouldn't be doing it either!
Wouldn't it be awesome if everyone could do this a couple of times a day? Their phone lines would be tied up with no one to speak to! Even if you work, in your off hours, do what you can. The sacrifice you make now could save you from answering your phone in your car, jumping out of the shower, or putting something more important on hold for these inconsiderate girls.
