This nice couple in Utah have had their number spoofed by (undoubtedly) scammers, phishers, whatever, calling numbers on the government's do-not-call list. I didn't answer of course (in case they're just collecting "live" numbers), and they left no message of course, so I can't tell you just what their business was, but I don't think that's important -- if they left no msg, it can't be good.
But she said they've been getting callbacks from around the country for the past 3 weeks, strangers saying "Hey, what did you just call me about?" when they have not been making calls. So if you get a call showing this #, just don't answer it (if it's really them, of course they'll leave a msg). And don't call those poor people -- and especially don't vent your hate on them: they are as innocent as the day is long.
I did answer the call and it sounded like the line transferred after answered, then a female with heavy accent claimed to be calling regarding my "windows computer getting errors....." I told her I was getting no errors and this was scam. she hung up. My sister received a similar call a few weeks ago, but not sure if it was from this number. These folks are some how trying to scam folks...
