I just got a call from this number. It is for Global Travel Network. They said I gave my information to Best Buy at the Expo Center. I was selected due to my 'demographics', to them this means married, between 28 and 64, make over $50K and spend less than $30K(?) per year on travel. Tried the sales pitch about a free vacation in all-inclusive resorts in MX and which one I would want and if I came in to their office the plane tickets would be free - but this is not a sales call and no money would exchange hands. They then started asking for personal info like my wife's name. I told them to call back tomorrow after I spoke with her.
Read up on the company and it sounds like a high pressure vacation sales. Since they have my google number I can block any incoming calls from them.
Getting the same message and repeated calls. This is for global travel network. They captured me at Utah State Fair 2014. I entered for a $2500. gift card. I have asked repeatedly to be taken off call list. Tried being both nice and nasty to their staff. nothing works.
These people put me on hold for over an hour after hearing that i was not a US citizen. I had heard there is racism and such in Utah. First time i experienced it.
I attended the Home Show at the STowne Expo three weeks ago and yes, these are "award" folks who want to give you something for attending one of their exhibitors presentations. If you entered a drawing, you are going to get marketing calls.
