I received a telephone call from this number earlier. The internet shows an actual person named Jacuieline Arcris in Salt Lake City UT but I suspect it is a spam call.
IT IS A SCAM! They claim to provide some sort of service to update your computer, they want you to sit at your computer, go to your computer properties/cmd:promptxx screen and give them some sort of valuable information like your ip address, hack your stuff, take as much of your stuff and laugh their way to the bank. I had the same scam tried upon me about three months ago. Random person calls and know exactly when I last updated my computer and wants to help, just gotta give them my ip address? Yeah, no thanks. That number was from New York or Michigan I wanna say. This number (the Utah one above 801898.... ) called me yesterday multiple times. I never answered it because I was busy each time they called. Then they called last night and I answered it. Btw, both times the caller was male and English was definitely not their first language. He then proceeds to run his pitch on me, I knew exactly was going on right away so I decided to humor him and have some fun with it. When I got to the point where he wanted me tell him what the numbers were I told him it was a bunch of letters that said F-U-.....Y-O-U (I hope that was clean enough for you all, my apologies if it wasn't) , and then I hung up the phone. He called me back multiple times and told me to die a bunch of times and came up with every swear word he knew in the English language, rinsed and repeated, I laughed, then hung up the phone. If they were really trying to help me i don't think they would've said all those things and tell me to die. And wouldn't you know it, I got a call from that number today. I didn't answer it, then added the number to my block list. Maybe he was calling to see if I had a change of heart? Maybe he had a change of heart? I highly doubt it.
