I just saw Bob's message about "No Ringer" too, and wow! What a brilliant idea!
I don't know if it's going to work, but I just added "DISCOVER FINANC" and their phone number to my Phone Contacts, just like I'd do if I were adding your name and phone number. "Ringer Tone" is one of the menus that came afterward, and sure enough, one of the selections was "No Ringer", which I selected. Now when I scroll through my Contacts, "DISCOVER FINANC" is one of them, and at the bottom it says, "No Ringer". Perfecto! We'll see how it works and try to report back! Maybe together we'll figure something out, because the Do Not Call police are definitely sleeping at the switch these days.
Called 4x so far today. Previous calls from 801-902-2938. I tried picking up once, but no one was there. ID says it's Discover Finance. Never had a card; never had an account. Do not call list doesn't work -- again! Can't block the numbers(?) Oughta be a law! Frustrating, but the inventor of caller ID deserves a prize!
These guys are I am sure, a collection company working for Discover Card as they state that "This is not a solicitation". Usually spin for, we are trying to collect a debt, and any information gathered will be used for that goal, etc.
They did leave me a phone number:

Message says to call Discovercard. Verified with their security department the number is the Lake Park Operations Center, collections department.
