Who called from 8019173485

Saw I had a missed call sent 6:47am today - 1-12-16.  The caller ID said it is from Irs at 1 801-917-3485.  This person did not leave a message.  Must be a scam.

This is a legit IRS number. The lady discussed my refund claim with me and pointed out an error I made in filling out the return (It was not the standard 1040 income tax return). She helped me saved some bucks. Grateful.

The IRS NEVER cold-calls!

There is either a preexisting snailmail exchange, or the called person initiated a call to the IRS, and got a follow up

I too was once notified of an error, but it was IN WRITING.

That's funny, when google searched it does not go to any IRS page at all! I agree with Slim!  If it was, it should and would have turned up the IRS page/website.

Hey Truth, unless you are a shill for this scam, you just been scammed out of providing your personal info to some scam artists!  IRS ALWAYS contacts you initially by mail to resolve problems, NOT telephone.
