This number calls our business every day and asks to speak with the business owner. The business owner does not work in our office. This time I asked him not to hang up and I'd like to please know what they are calling about. He hung up. They hang up every single time I ask questions about what they are calling about. Do they not understand that very often the business owner does not want to take calls like these and therefore they have administrative assistants such as me!? I've reported them to the National Do Not Call Registry. Hopefully this will stop them.
I got an automated message that was supposedly on behalf of Google, Bing, and Yahoo. He said that there was an issue with my website listing and that he needed to speak to the business owner right away, and that I HAD to press 1 NOW or NO ONE would be able to find me online at all. Hmm, that's not in the least bit suspicious, seeing as how as long as your SEO is squared away and that you keep the website current, your site will be crawled and indexed regardless. Plus, I didn't know authorized persons from legitimate businesses had to pressure someone RIGHT NOW to push a button when they're the ones soliciting you yet greet you with a robot. Scammy.
Calls every single day sometimes multiple times a day. Even if you stay on the line and try to press "9" to be removed from the call list, it doesn't happen and you can't wait on the line to see if anyone live will pick up. It just disconnects you.
