I Didn't recognize the 801-989-5889 number that called my cell phone about 5:20 pm Mountain Time. Let it go to voicemail. No message left, however I immediately got a text from 801-987-0258 saying, "You've got a new voicemail from (801) 989-5889." Which as stated before, They did not leave a message. When I search the number that texted me 801-987-0258, there is a weird file available on Amazon's AWS file storage site http:// 86793ul.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/801-987-0258 Claiming the number is a land line, landlines don't typically text. (Do not click anything in there if you bring it up) It looks to be an attempt to appear legitimate to unsavvy internet users. It came up very first in the search. I gather that they're sophisticated scam artists. I did a further search on whitepages.com (http://www.whitepages.com/phone/1-801-987-0258) and it is a VoIP number owned by Google and based out of Midvale, UT. So technically anyone from anywhere in the world could be operating their scam from that number. I'll be notifiying the Federal Trade Commission next (if you'd like to contact them too the online form is at this link https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1) hopefully it will give them clues to shut down these scam artists.
