Got this call on my land line that I hardly use and is private and unlisted as well as on my cell phone three times today. Same message in all recordings claiming to be the IRS filed a claim on the IRS site.
i received the same message , it was not a live person , it was more like a machine created message, very robotic
my name was not mentioned, very generic
It's always someone with a middle eastern accent claiming to be from IRS with a federal warrant for your arrest and their stupid enough to leave a message on voicemail and answering machines. I was a tax preparer for many many years and I can assure that the IRS would NEVER contact anyone like this. You will always have numerous contact letters from the IRS and there would have to have been a trial and conviction and you would never leave the courtroom if came down to a conviction for tax evasion. THESE ARE JUST IDIOTS DOING THIS! Having an already bad day when you they call... have some fun with them! I told the one I was talking to look around and give me the next ugliest ignorant [***] in the room so I could take turns telling each of them one after another what they could do with their camel and their mother when they get done prank calling people like the bunch of juvenile [***] they are... HE LOST HIS MIND! LOL Screw politically correct, they picked the wrong American to start with today.
Answered and the party-recording (IRS) (foreign accent) said contact immediately before I get arested ! I do not owe and am on social security. I called them back and said I do not owe. They threatened me with arrest. Completely harassment.
Said I owe $5000.00 send it now or go to jail.
I received same voicemail message yesterday. Called the number today and a guy with a heavy Indian accent answered "Internal Revenue Service". I informed him that I recorded time of call, reported them to police, attorney general's office, who informed me that Interpol is already on the case and closing in on them. The guy said "F*** You". Most scam phone calls I receive are from guys with Indian accents. Suspect these operations are all based in Bangalore.
