Total scam. They say they are with my direct processor, First Data. I ask, do your paychecks say first data on them and she says yes. She first indicates she is my Account Manager. Later in the conversation, when pressed for info, Nicki give me specific info, she says she doesn't know but she's just a "secretary". I find this on line http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/csr/5828941620.html. They are a First Data ISO but NOT First Data Corp., as she said and completely unscrupulous and dirty liars. They run a boiler room telesales operation, but if you look at their employment ad on Craig's List, they also lie to prospective employees saying they are not COLD CALLING but rather, This is not a sales job this is appointment setting. You will be calling customers who already process credit and debit cards as a form of payment to make sure they are EMV ready and have accepted their new low interchange rate. YOU ARE NOT COLD CALLING." But, they are, "Looking for heavy hitters ONLY". Some BS story about a Visa Mastercard law suit and they have to provide me with direct merchant services now because of a court mandate. Folks - it's really simple - if you don't recognize the number - don't pick up! Legit callers will always leave a message.
We are fortunate that we have a blocker that can block entire area codes. We are a business located in S. CA and we have no business or vendors in VT. If they call from the 802 area code, they are BLOCKED and our phones do not ring.
Today we have also received calls from Miami (area code 305) and Springfield, IL (area code 217). All calls were blocked and our office was not disturbed.
