Received a call from "The Credit Union Center Alert" saying my card was deactivated and to call 6056558363, did that and got a robo request for my 16 digit card number, tried 0 to get around it, line was dead, tried again, same thing. Googled Credit Union Center Alert and found what I suspected, guess this is not limited to one state or area, these are South Dakota numbers.
Got texted this number something called the Credit Union Center Alert. They said my card was disconnected and I needed to call. The number was answered by a robot who demanded my 16 digit number but would not connect me to an operator. I gave no number and hung up.
This company has been around for years - you call, give them a credit card number, expiration date and the three digit code from the back - the robo voice confirms that your card has been activated and it has. FOR THEM TO USE!!!
