I got a number of calls from this number over the span of a few months. It was a strange number so I never answered it, and they never left a voicemail. Out of curiosity I called the number (from a throwaway google voice account) and within half a ring it went to their voicemail. The person on the message sounded pleasant and well spoken, but the first thing she said was "if you want to be placed on the do not call list, press 1". Well, that's always a scam, NEVER press any number, and honestly, NEVER call them from a real phone number. The message said they were calling (remember, this is the message I hear when I call them) on behalf of "American Children's Cancer Society" which a quick google search shows is not a real organization.

I also have started getting calls from these people. I never answer and they never have the courtesy to leave a message. Thanks SLC for the research you did. Every bit of info on these scam artists helps.
Numerous calls from this fake organization over a period of months - I NEVER pick up and advise you don't either. These scammers prey upon those whose emotions allow it, unfortunately.
