Unfamiliar number called my cell, so I picked up but didn't say anything. Indistinct call-center type noise but nobody on the other end. Apparently a scam so I blocked them
Called a short time ago... said hello several times before receiving a response. Calling to inform me that my computer sent them information regarding tracking and she had just a few questions to ask for more information. I hung up!
This idiot of what sounded like middle eastern descent calls telling me my Windows Operating system was infected with a virus and his system detected the infection. He asked me to go through a battery of tests. I kept him on the phone for 10 minutes playing this clown like a fiddle. Then he advised me he needed my credit card number in order to remotely take control of my computer to wipe the virus from my system. I fiddled around for another 3 minutes trying to find a credit card. I was telling him they were all maxed and I KNOW I had one that would work. Knowing this was all a scam. . . I asked him IF this cleansing would work on an Apple Computer. . . he said no. I wanna say I tied up this fraudster for about 15 minutes and then sprung the surprise. . . I RUN NOTHING BUT APPLE COMPUTERS!!!!! I LAUGHED IN HIS FACE. It was fun handing his [***] to him. Then I hung up after I told him I did not appreciate him WASTING MY TIME in an extortion attempt and that I would report him to the FBI. Too Much Fun messing with HaBebe Today!!!
