I was getting a string of calls from the 802-622-34** series. They were all spoofed numbers generated by some criminal's computer. After I reported this clown to a bunch of websites that asked for data on these sorts of calls, the criminal came up with a new game: Drop the area-code altogether and now my Caller ID shows only 622-3459 - or any other 34** series. Getting your Caller ID to show only 7 digits (no area-code) proves this is a computer.
A new game is spoofing the recipient's phone-number. In other words, my phone number and name is on my Caller ID so it looks like I am calling myself! And there is no way to block your own number. If these scumbags are ever caught, they should by lynched by their own phone-cords.
