this is Vermont Professional Firefighters they call a couple of times a year and try to sell you lame concert
tickets, or some other fund raising stuff.If you don't answer the phone, they leave no message.
I have answered, and have told them twice a year (for years) that I am not interested, and not to call me anymore.
But every year they do.They will tell you your contributions go to your local Firefighters.Not true.
They only raise money for the Non Volunteer Fire departments. So if you don't live in Burlington,Bennington, Brattleboro, Essex. Your local Fire Department gets no benefit from your contribution. They are basically telemarketing, and fund raising the whole state for the few Vermont
cities that have full-time, non volunteer Fire departments.
Evidently they are using this number again after a long hiatus. Just got a call from them. Didn't answer. Makes you wonder when they don't use the same number each time.
Got a call from this number--a cheery seemingly high school age person--the problem is I am a care giver for a very,very disabled elder and this is really annoying to get a call like this!!!!!!!
There ought to be a law against telemarketers and junk mail--come on representatives and congress protect our rights to privacy!!!!
