I got a call from this number while I was at work. The caller did not identify himself, but knew my name. He had a strong accent. As soon as I verified who I was, he hung up.
1st call he hung up when I answered. Checked this site, then I called the number back and a recorded female voice spoke in a foreign language... while on this call phone beeped and a thick accented man stated he was calling me about debt relief. He began asking questions about my debt - I answered by asking questions myself. He state he was with "Oregon Debt Relief", that his name was James, With his continued questions, I told him I was registered with the National Do Not Call Registry and he ought to make himself aware of this federal protection. He immediately said he was "sorry" and hung up.
Get this call daily. Don't answer but when i call it get the female voice in foreign language. Called Fairpoint to see if there is anything to be done. They said report to Call Annoyance Bureau, 1-800-332-6963.
We get this call anywhere from 2-10 times a day, sometimes starting as early as 5:30am. They never say anything when we pick up, they just hang up and when you call back it's something in a foreign language. We've just starting answering the phone as the local police department, the IRS, etc.
