Received a call ID as 803-610-2438, at about 5:45PM on Dec. 26, 2011. I called the number back and the person ID themselves as calling for the S.C. Fraternal Order of Police. I asked them to stop their repeated calling.

I just got a call from this number, but I don't answer calls from numbers that aren't stored in my phone, so I ignored it. I decided to look it up and this is what I've found. This number had been getting plenty of complaints. DO NOT ANSWER! There are a lot of phone schemes going around these days.
Got a call from this number at 10:50 Am. When I answered, the line went dead. This is a scam from a phoney Police Fraternal org. They do this year round. I keep a list of folks who are phoney callers and this one has popped up often. I've complained to my state Attorney Generals office about this and have told me that they have many complaints about this org.
