I received the call and within 30 seconds received a vzw text about a past due balance and to respond with 'yes' if I would pay by a specific date. This is the first time I have received a call from Verizon that had a Richmond Area Code and I am in Maryland, so Richmond is a short drive away! Regardless, I most definitely agree they should be using numbers customers are somewhat familiar with and at the very least, ensure those numbers are properly identified. As a phone company, they should know how unidentified numbers are treated by the majority..
Called three nights in a row after 6 pm. They have never left a voicemail. No text message. I have a business Verizon cellular account. They have called our land line on previous occasion regarding a bill. Not sure it's them.
