This is happening to me as well while I am at my desk at work. Within a 30 minute time span, I received 10 calls, from 10 different numbers, and it would always beep twice then hang up. The 11th time, it was one of the numbers that had called previously and there was a woman with a heavy accent on the line. Asked for someone who does not work here. I told her that they had called 11 times within 30 minutes and that they should stop calling my number immediately. Very strange and very annoying!

received a call from this number, they asked for someone other than me, then they asked my name.
I just told them they had the wrong number.
and hung up.
never say y on the phone they have you. to charge calls back to your number or hack into your account.
Also Box, VirVie Tech, ECN Magazine, IMB Magazine, IMB Publications, IBM Magazine, IBM Publications, IBE Publications, Box File Share, Birst Corporation, Monocle (sp?) Associates, ISH Magazine, SAP, SAP Programs, SAP Software Solutions, MicroStrategy, Rackspace Routing, CircleZ. Sky Base, Accenture.. to name a few more.
Bad feeling from this call - they asked to speak to me by name, then when I confirmed it was me speaking said they had a bad line & would call straight back. They didn't - suspect they were confirming/harvesting my data
they(female heavy accent) have called several times in the last couple of weeks, requesting to speak to the company's Region Director of Customer Service by her previous name. I tell them to call the company's main number and they will connect you to her. Last time I just told them them they had the wrong number.
