I too received a call from this number and did not know the number so did not answer it. I have filed a complaint with the FCC and every time I call them, they say they are working on it. I filed last year and twice this year, still no stoppage. I also filed a complaint with the Illinois attorney general. When they get more complaints, they will then look into the calling.??????????
Called acting as if they are from my bank. Won't stop calling even though we are on the Do Not Call list. Congress passed the legislation and the justice department ignores the problem.
Second, I look here for some background. If it turns out to be a bad call, I save it as a contact with a nasty first name and nastier last name.
Invariably, I get a repeat call from the same number, so when "Nasty McNastier" shows up on the screen, I smile and kill the call. The problem is thinking up 70 or so "nastier" names. It's a fun problem to have, though.
The real problem here is that phone numbers are "spoofed" so it's difficult to trace them. If the FTC gets enough complaints (say 10,000) they'll do something. For every fish they catch; however, hundreds more swim by.
