Just got a call from the number in question (didn't answer it) but the caller from Penny Mac left a message asking that I call her back using a local (916) number?? She said that she saw my caller ID come through even though I didn't even call her phone number...
I just checked the PennyMac site, and could not find an 805 area code number.
However, there seems to be a supposed mortgage company using that number, calling "on behalf of PennyMac".
Interesting ... if you were "happy" with that call, and know who it is, why did you post it at a site that is concerned with unknown or telemarketing / scamming phone numbers?
These sites are great to not only see who else is getting bombarded with SPAM, but also to verify legitimate numbers. As the first poster stated, this is a number that PennyMac uses when you sign up for a request for information about services. So I'm glad posters like the first one on this number do share.
