Sounds like very similar to the situation I'm having except mine is over the Orlando Sentinel. In my case, I WAS a subscriber and told them I did not want to renew. This was about 6 weeks ago. Despite my notice that I was cancelling, the daily phone calls started and went on all day and into the evenings for weeks, sometimes 10 calls a day, during which time the paper stopped being delivered. Sometimes 10 calls a day! I never picked and they left no message. I guess they went ahead and billed me anyway and when I refused to pick up the phone they turned it over to collections (which is this number).
