Like most of the above messages this number is coming from the Ventura County Courthouse Collections dept. Mrs. Moss asked me for the phone number that received the call (which has been my cell phone number for more than 15 years). She said that the number was for someone named Corey who is deceased. Mrs. M said she would correct their records ... we shall see.
This is from Ventura county court collections. I knew it wasn't for anyone here because we both work for Probation! Turns out someone eitehr gave our number or someone mis-heard it. They'll clear it of the system. So all you who are complaining, just call the number and tell them it is a mistake. Unless you really owe money to the court Probation or you're a deadbeat dad.
I have received numerous calls and messages from this number. When I called back I spent over 15 minutes on the phone waiting for a person, listening every few minutes to "your call will be answered in the order it was received." After about 16 or so minutes a message comes on saying "you have reached a non-working number, call xxx-xxx-xxxx or xxx-xxx-xxxx for more information." They rattled both numbers so fast I couldn't even write them down fast enough. Never repeated either number. I feel this is a scam. I will be going to the court in person to pursue this. It seems like if it was legit... Wouldn't they send you something in the mail?! Good luck to anyone in the same position as I am.
I just rec'd a call - and the recording said "now in Spanish" -- huh???? Obviously, it's scammers calling and I do what I always do ----- JUST HANG UP!!!!
