I get a call from my local 805 Area Code with CID showing “Wireless Caller, 805-702-5618” I answer and then hear a series of electronic clicks indicating the call was place by a predictive auto-dialer. After 5 seconds a woman comes on and says her name is Amy with Quality Air and asks for me by name. She already has my house number, street, city and full name. She goes on for a while describing how important it is to check my furnace and ductwork, to prevent disease and fire. I ask if her company is local to me, and she says they have a technician in my area every day. I ask again if her company is local to me, and she says their main office in in the San Fernando Valley. Amy says her company is licensed and bonded. I asked her what that phrase means and she did not know, but repeats it again. I ask where her company is licensed, as I only do business with legitimate companies, and she says it is a private and legitimate company. I ask again and she puts me on hold to ask her supervisor. When she returns, she says they do not know about the licensing but the technician will have all that info and can bring it to me. She gives me the number 818-671-0739 in case I need to change the time. Amy says her supervisor Brittany may call to verify the appointment.
