Got a legitimate call from somebody who I didn't want to talk to--he was using SKYPE. But it read as GTX Inc on my caller ID plus the 808, so I thought it was a local call. It's obviously a service transfer number. In my case the person who called was trying to hide his ID, and it was a family member.
Tapetrader: Very strange. The same thing happened to me. My brother also called using SKYPE and it read the same "GTX Inc" and the 808 phone number. I'm not sure why his Caller ID showed up on my phone that way. He's pretty tech-savvy so I don't believe it was from his end, but maybe SKYPE's???? Or maybe it could be the Caller ID service that Hawaiian Tel uses?
