Got a call from this company saying I had unpaid medical bills in Hawaii, and how would I like to pay for them. I was immediately suspicious as I haven't lived in Hawaii for 3 years, and I told them I currently no longer live in Hawaii. They said it was a bill from a hospital (which I had actually visited while I lived there), had my former postal address, and gave a date when I supposedly had visited the hospital. Very weird. I said I wasn't comfortable giving them any payment information over the phone, but gave them my new postal address and said to send the bill there. They were polite and hung up. That was 2 weeks ago, and nothing in the mail. I don't know how they got my address and phone number, but I'm 99% sure I paid all my bills before I left...
They called me on and off for about five months and left a voicemail each time. Funny thing is, I've never traveled 50 miles away from where I live now, which is nowhere near Hawaii. They eventually stopped after I picked up and hung up instantly several times.
