Just had 4 missed calls for the same name. and they left 4 message the first one they couldnt stop laughing so they hung up
and 2nd one she said her name was Amanda Ross and she was calling from a collection agency in kauai and started laughing again with someone and she hung up. 3rd and 4th time she started the whole collection agency bit and then told me to call them back. Cause authorities will be sent to my work and my home and plus they needed more info where i live and my ss #.
Called my sister in law looking for me. She told them I don't live at that number and to not call them again. Another scam caller - her caller id came up from Hawaii-- internet caller. I have had enough!!!!
So I got a call from this number 808-725-3589 out of Hawaii. Telling me via automated system that I or my lawyer should contact them to avoid 'costly legal action.' So I clicked to be connected to a rep. Discovered that I allegedly obtained a pay day loan from a company online (never heard of them nor can I find them online), and refused to pay it back. They asked for my ss number and got cranky when I refuse to give it. I offered to verify it IF they could tell me it. Said I had a bank account with a bank ending in XXXX. Um wrong answer! I do not nor did I live at the address they gave me during the time they specified, do not have that bank account, did not have a payday loan with a company I have never heard of. Best part? When I started mentioning this website listing the number as a scam, the Better Business Bureau listing the number as a scan, and the FBI listing it they started becoming very defensive. Ultimately stating that I should "get a good attorney since they would be sending this claim to summons processing immediately, and you will not win." I was given numbers in Hawaii, Texas, and Florida!
I got the same call! I did live at the address mentioned (years ago) they knew the last 4 of my ssn and where I have one of my bank accts. very scary but when I stared questioning them
They muted the call and I could hear them
Talking and laughing in the back ground when they came back on the line.
