I am getting one ot two a day for at least a week. Have told them to quit calling, they call all hours.
They just says: Lower interest rate! Don't give a name of the company or caller!

This is the 3rd call in 3 days from a company that says they want to lower our credit card rates. This is totally bogus in our case as we have managed to pay off our credit cards. All these calls have been identified as being from different numbers from different states. I asked the reps on the first calls to remove our number from the calling list because we are in the do not call registry. Now I am filing complaints with the do not call registry.
The call that came through from this number was identified as being from a cellphone.
They called several times in the last few days with a prerecorded message to lower my interest rates through a government program. After several calls I pressed one to speak to a representative. Told him I am on the do not call list and to take me off their call list - he hung up on me. Just filed a report with the Do not call registry.
I asked the lady who called me what company she was with. She hung up without another word. So like all the other calls I get, I reported this one to the FTC Do Not Call List complaint department as well. Not sure if it does any good but I'll keep fighting the good fight againt these monsters. I beginning to think the Do Not Call List is no longer effective.
I play along with them and waste their time...it costs them money.
They'll say anything to get your credit card number. They prey on the elderly, the uneducated and the mentally disadvantaged. If you don't fall into one of those groups, they hang up on you.
