Just got a missed call from them. I worked there a couple years ago, but didn't have their number saved and came across this page while looking up the number.
Vector Marketing is the marketing company for Cutco Cutlery. The products are great - mostly knives, but they have other stuff too. They don't do door-to-door sales or telemarketing, so it can be hard to actually find clientele. The good thing is you get paid whether you make a sale or not.

As far as I know, the only way they get your number is through an application you turned in or a friend's recommendation (you can ask who the friend is - it should be in the system).
Daughter's cell phone kept ringing with this number; she refused to answer. I finally answered for her. "Carli" said she was calling from "Vector" and that a friend of my daughter's (she knew my daughter's name but didn't provide the "friend's" name) thought she'd like to work for them, too. Yeah, right! Looked up this number on the web and found a marketing company selling knives. Other not-so-glowing reviews about Vector, a telemarketing company, and how much of a scam it is.
So actually work for vector and first off, not a scam. Secondly they are a wonderful company that treats their representatives really well. They actually did get your number from a friend. They are part of the direct selling association so that is the only legal way they can contact people directly.
Sooooo. . . why exactly did you search this number, when you knew who it was? Come to 800 notes? And post wonderful nice things about this cold calling company? - - -And once again my questions have answered themselves.
